By layering canvas bands under vulcanized rubber tires, Palladium introduces a next-level technology that positions the brand as the largest aircraft tire supplier in Europe. January 1947 As World War II ends and the demand for aircraft tires decreases, Palladium uses its canvas and rubber resources to open its footwear factory in Pont-de-Chéruy, France. Palladium used their expertise to make boots that were as hard wearing as their tires. The boots were so comfortable and durable that they were adopted by the legendary French Foreign Legion. January 1990 Discovered by the grunge and rave scenes, the iconic Pampa boot becomes a fashionable look on a global scale. Palladium sells over one million pairs of boots in a year. January 2009 After a brief hiatus, Palladium re-launches with an urban explorer ethos and modernized construction techniques. The updated manufacturing process enables the brand to develop boots using modern fabrics and materials building a new line of boots for modern day explorers. Read more

I usually wear a 6.5 wide. I ordered a 6.5 stonewashed metal. First, these are just as cute in real life as pictured. The color is more a greenish gray, but leans more towards gray. I think these will work well with black, blue and green pants, not so much with the tan/brown family.Sizing. These run LONG. The shoe is a bit snug in the toe area, but my heal keeps slipping. If I wear thick socks it makes them too tight. I have at least a thumbs length in the front for "grow room" only I'm not growing any more! The best thing is there is free returns with this so I am ordering the size 6 and going to compare the fit. I hope that one pair fits well and I can keep them. I think they are really cute and even though a bit tight across the top of my foot,(where the toe meets the foot) and a bit too long, they are comfy!Oh, they seem well made and if I keep them I plan on spraying them to make the canvas part waterproof.Once I have put these boots on, I didn't want to take them off! These were made for me because I like the chic with the edge look. It is highly versatile with mini dresses, and skinnies. And there are so many ways to wear the flaps, it looks great when I fold it up as well. It is incredibly comfortable that I could urban trek the whole day in it without any sores. Absolutely love it!!!The only negative experience is when I was dining at a cafeteria and they had smooth floor surfaces, that are oilier than usual. I was sliding on the floor with these boots. Not a pleasant experience for smooth and slippery surfaces. (Rain, oil, etc) Also, there are some loose threads on the flaps where the stitching is... so the workmanship is not 100% perfect. But don't let this put you off buying, it is still an amazing shoe to add to your wardrobe.I would recommend people to buy, unless the floors you walk on are usually smooth + slippery. These are my new favorite shoes. I ordered a size 9, my normal size, and they are slightly roomy in the toes, but not too roomy! I'll be able to wear thick socks on colder days. The black/black will match nearly all of my wardrobe, so these will be a daily shoe for me. These are well made and have a sturdy tread on the bottom. The canvas upper is also firmly stitched to the sole, which is great. The insole is removable, and I may choose to insert some more supportive insoles in the future. Admittedly these aren't the most supportive shoes, but I'm used to cheaper shoes that wear more quickly, so it doesn't bother me. I've worn them folded down or laced up and they look great either way. I got mine for $40 bucks with the holiday discount, so I feel like these were a fabulous deal. I'll definitely be buying Palladiums again.I had to return the size 8 for an 8.5 which fits great and looks good. So far they are super comfortable right out of the box although i haven't gone on any long walks in them. I initially ordered the size 8 despite usually wearing an 8.5-9 because palladium's size chart said their size 8 corresponded to the euro size 39. Whenever i've purchased any shoes, the euro sizing is the most accurate. I am always a 39 no matter which company or style of shoe. But not with Palladium. I wish they would add a column in inches or centimeters or some other objective measuring system so there was is some way of figuring out what size to order.I am not one to order shoes or clothes online for the simple fact I do not want the hassle of returning the items if they do not fit or the product is not what I was expecting. I broke my rule of thumb as I was pressed for time and decided to take a chance. They arrived right before I set out on my voyage out west to attend Burning Man...I could have slept in these boots...except I didn't sleep I just kept on keeping on in the comfort of my Playa dust laden boots! These boots have lived up to my expectations and then some...so light weight, comfortable and easy to keep clean. I highly recommend these boots and I will be looking for new ones by this manufacturer in the future...Cordially,Fresh as a daisy! It surprised me how comfortable this boot is when it came out of the box. The indigo is very versatile and having the option of flipping the sides of the boot up or down is great. The side clip to keep the sides up or down is a great idea. The only negative thing is that the insole has a weird green lip around it, although it is soft and doesn't get in the way of my walking, but it might be a strange surprise when first seen. Only suggestion is that it could use a side zip for faster access, but on the whole, this boot is a good addition to your wardrobe.I have had these shoes for over a year now. These are great shoes. No break-in period needed. They have great traction and are great in all sorts of weather. I get tons of compliments on these shoes. They are very comfortable and durable. They still look like the day I bought them and I wear them all winter long. The only thing I would suggest is to not try and slide your foot in without untying them. It will cause the plaid fabric to rip along the top seam. It hasn't ripped much and only adds to the rugged aesthetic. So don't be lazy like me and put your shoes on the long way. These shoes are great! I just recently bought my second pair after the first pair soldiered on through about two years of near constant use. They are comfy and versatile without even needing to be broken in. I generally wear a size 6.5 in shoes and bought this pair in a 6.5, so I'll definitely say that these run true to size. They are nice for walking and I've even gone on light hikes with these. When this pair eventually wears out I'll go out and buy myself a new pair.Ordered these as liked the look of them for my holiday. Great style and so comfortable. Very easy to wear and put on. Loved the colour it goes with any other colours you wear. Great finish and quality. These are genuine Palladium and you can tell the difference. The are true to size and room for wearing with socks. Look great with jeans and dresses/skirts.I would definitely recommend them. The fit is true to size. I really like them. very comfortable and I know I will certainly be wearing them lots once the rain has gone. Many thanks.Fabulous footwear. My favourite everyday choice. They are lovely but seem to be a small fit. Maybe order a size up?These were really uncomfortable & give me blisters after the first wear, sold them on in ebay ;-(
