Both summer and winterSo I got these about a week and a half ago in the mail. I wanted to wait a little so I could give an honest review on these boots, so here it isI ordered this boot in stonewash metal. The color looked gray in the image online, but turned out to be a weathered metal green almost like the green you'd see on an old bridge. Although the boots weren't gray I was still pleased with the color and surprisingly the boots go well with everything I wear. Now as you know these boots are made out of canvas. Not very good for the winter, nor are they water proof. So I suggest picking up some water proofing spray. As for the cold, if you're going to where these boots in the winter throwing on a nice thick pair of socks should do the job just fine. I would not recommend wearing these boots at all after it snowed really bad, or is raining really bad. That's just my 2 cents. The palladium baggy boot in canvas is actually very comfortable. They come with a removable insole that has a little arch support. Even though the removable insole is comfortable I would suggest purchasing one yourself from one of your favorite brands because like I said, there is very little arch support. For the most part, the palladium baggy canvas is a very comfortable and good looking boot. I'm very pleased with my purchase and plan on purchasing many more pairs of these in a variety of colors, and styles. They are an extremely versatile and fashionable shoe. You can dress-up or you can dress down making these boots the Swiss army knife of foot wear. I recommend these boots (just purchase according to the season). On a side note, they are true to size. I purchased them in 8.5 because that is what I wear in sneakers and basketball shoes but they were a little bit bigger than expected which isn't an issue with me. Just make sure to get these in your true size.During the fifty years I've worn boots daily I've never come across a more perfectly fitting boot, nor a boot more comfortable in every way. This boot has arch support at a level which can otherwise be obtained only by purchasing 'Superfeet' insoles which are quite expensive.I own three pairs of them and intend to order one or two more, different colors, more style. Ha! At 71 I've discovered a boot which will last my lifetime so I want to own them all. These boots are perfect and have cost me a small fraction of what I've paid in the past for good boots. It is true that I have narrow feet but with the years gone by of running and hiking daily in poorly fitted boots I now have flat feet, much widened, and there is a problem. Within a few minutes of walking in these boots I knew my problems were over. Like I said, I own three now and will buy more. These boots are the best of the best.UPDATE: March 12, 2015I love the boots BUT I was mistaken about there being good arch support. They have great overall support due to their structural integrity and, at first, it felt like that structure was providing support directly to the arches as well as everywhere else. But not really. So I removed the stock inserts and added a pair of 'Superfeet Copper' inserts to the boots and now I have perfection itself! It could be that others will not require the arch support I must have but it's probably worth a thought. In any case they are perfect now and I will buy yet another pair.I first saw a pair of Palladium shoes on a female's feet on Instagram and didn't know what they were but I wanted my gf to have them. I sent the pic to all my friends and they didn't know what they were either. Some time went by and then I went to one of the local colleges to play basketball and a kid there had a pair of men's Palladium shoes so I inquired and he told me the name and to look on Amazon. I showed my gf all the lovely female versions and she wasn't interested so I ordered this pair for myself. I was surprised at how long I could wear them at any given time due to how comfortable they are. I did some significant walking in them on the streets of Queens, NY and never had a reason to complain. Eventually one of my cousins who lives in Atlanta saw me in them and he insisted that I order the exact pair for him. He intends to get a few additional colors as well. I probably will get at least one other color as well.I cannot speak to the durability of these boots yet, as I've just gotten them a few days ago, but I CAN say that they seem to be a great option for a lightweight hiking/through-hiking boot. The sole is sturdy and does have a molded internal arch support, it is NOT just a converse all-star rip off with tread lugs. Also the "Baggy" part can be flipped up and laced making it an 8" boot. I imagine this will be a handy feature traversing scree fields. The fabric breaths very well even after a coat of camp-dry, and now water beads up and falls off. I don't know if it will keep dry if immersed, but the tongue is fixed all the way up past the 4th eyelet. I'm optimistic in trying these out this spring after the pacboots get put away, but curious if the stitching will hold up as the miles pass underneath them.Have another pair of these that are just the high tops, which I absolutely love. Get a lot of compliments too, which has never happened to any other shoes I have worn. These are great as well, and the same size (size 10), but they are just a bit snug unlike the high tops when i first got them. I am sure over time whey will adjust out. Just wish that they could just make a size a size, and not have to hope that it may actually be that size.7-3-21 Update. Got almost 5 years of daily use out of these shoes. Got a couple of holes in them now so ordered two more pair to replace them. Love these shoes. Unfortunately the price has doubled in those 5 years. I guess buying two more pair means I am OK with that.I had to put another insole because I have flat feet, but other than that the boots are really good. The quality is superb, confortable and the outsole seems to be pretty strong and durable. Recommend it.Bought these for my husband, who had tried on the next size down that were too small.Unfortunately, he has since told me these were too big so has never worn them. This is my first Palladium , and i found what i expected, they are great... I am thinking to buy another Palladium shoes... Great price, great service by amazon.co.uk...I already had a pair of palladium boots so was happy to buy online as I already knew what I was going to get. These are my summer footwear of choice, lightweight, breathable and I can walk miles in them.Look like Will Smith in "I am legend" (if you are a tall well-built good-looking black guy). Otherwise, just wear these very comfortable and machine washable boots.
